Kay Nguyen
Partner & Creative producer
Award-winning filmmaker, Eisenhower fellow Kay Nguyen has worked in the US, England, Japan, only to come home and created the development group A Type Machine in 2013 after the record-breaking success of road-trip comedy Teo Em. In 2019 she broke record again with the action thriller hit Hai Phuong (Furie). Writing her own projects, she also directs the award-winning, cultural phenomenon Co Ba Sai Gon. She wrote and produced the tentpole adaptation Mat Biec, which set another box office record. Her films are selected to represent Vietnam at the Oscars 3 years in a row. Tilo Owsley
Partner & Writer Producer
A co-founder of A Type Machine, Tilo Owsley obtained her PhD in Applied Math at Ivy League’s Cornell University, and chose to follow her artistic calling.
As Chief Finance Officer, she represents the company in the US for IP development, investment and co-production. She leads a team of 8 people in the US and 6 people in Vietnam for developing IPs and assignments.
